Christmas Market Huge Success!

Sorry this post is a wee late, but what a manic last couple of weeks!
We had a lovely Christmas market, with a very busy and fun time had by all! Santa made an appearance and brought some Christmas cheer! We had 50 stalls that night, our largest, and what a fantastic group of people! It was a fantastic way to end the market year in Masterton. Here are a few pics from the night! Bring on next year!

We have 50 stalls! Yes 50 wonderfull stalls, with designer clothing, childrens clothing and wooden toys, jams, pickles and sauces, amazing gifts and crafts, the list goes on and on! We are blown away by the talent offered here in the Wairarapa. Meet our creative :: Heart Felt

My name is Jannelle and I am the creative mama behind Heart Felt.

Heart Felt is all about children, adventure, discovery and fun. I'm inspired by the seasons and my three children, Charlie (5) Sadie (4) and Oscar (2).

We love exploring outdoors, we follow and embrace each season, so creating clothing that is different but practical has been a wonderful creative challenge.

I use recycled and vintage fabrics to create the unique pixie hats and pixie tunics. In the cooler months I use a lot of recycled woollens and in the summer light breezy cottons. Great for the beach, bush walks, or a walk to the letter box.

Heart Felt crowns are lots of fun for dressing up, creative play or just exploring in the garden. Popular with boys and girls.

I also design felt head bands which are all hand sewn. Lovely for girls and for their mamas too. Designs include flowers, butterflies, tui birds and ladybirds.

I feel privileged to be able to offer my creations at the New Rags Market and love meeting and chatting with our clients.

Elaia Gourmet Olives , divine Olive treats that will make any Olive lover delighted! With chutneys and the new Olive tea, a must for every platter this summer.

AsQ, unique and retro clothing for children, Make sure your little miss or mr, is dressed to the nines this summer in a dress as special as they are! Check out AsQ in action on FB or Felt.

Plain Janes Cupcakes offers delicious easy ready made mixes perfect for wee ones and fun in the kitchen, I loved the gingerbread men, delicious!

Studio 72 These ladies can offer you a one off piece of art that will take centre stage in your home! Art with edge and elegance. Plus its a family affair, how special is that!

Collective Concepts offering a wide range of craft and art have a look at their page to really appreciate what they offer.

The always delicious Market Kitchen will be there offering scrummy food that is fresh and full of flavour.

Glorious day in Greytown

Greytown put on glorious weather for the second New Rags Market in the beautiful

Town Centre.

Lots of happy shoppers from Wellington and many locals came in to purchase handmade crafts for Christmas presents.

Next market will be our Christmas night market on the 10th December 5-10 pm in Masterton.

See you there for Christmas carols, local crafts, a ferris wheel will be running and of course a visit from the man himself.

A great evening out for the all the family.

Its all coming together beautifully, with a gorgeous tree supplied by Classic Christmas Trees for our night market the 10th of December. Also a Ferris wheel will be outside for the kiddies. And of course the slightly over weight jolly man will be arriving to share some Christmas sweetness and have Santa photos for the tiny people or big people if you like!

So many people offering lovely services and exciting entertainment just really touched by the generosity of our Wai community, it really is the essence of the true Christmas spirit.

The Woman of New Rags Brew New Ideas.

Hello followers and followers to come. We are over the moon to be engaging with our fellow crafters, appreciators and the general community. We want to use this to be able to keep you posted on all that New Rags is about and will become in the future. Had a lovely time with the divine Mrs J from Heart felt, and Ngaire from Burnt offering chatting and brewing ideas over delish cake!

Our New Rags family is growing and new ideas are flourishing everyday. with the help of these special ladies we I intend 2012 to bring a new logo, just refreshed, new market dates and workshops for our community.

It also welcomes Platform, our sister company that specialises in creative consultancy and event management. Exciting times for those wanting to make a commercial success from their creative outlet.

We hope to bring you a fresh perspective and heart warming notes to encourage you to explore our market and the people that are involved with it. Every stall holder brings love and attention to their work, a gift in itself.
